More than 30 per cent of Territorians are Indigenous. How do they see the Voice?
This film aimed to address the uncertainties many Australians, particularly young Indigenous individuals like Justin and Jaxon, feel regarding the Voice to Parliament referendum and its broader context.
OUR VOICE OUR HEART
The film aimed to address the uncertainties many Australians, especially young Indigenous people like Justin and Jaxon, feel about the Voice to Parliament referendum. It connected presenters and the audience, who share similar concerns, and bridged the knowledge gap by engaging with community Elders, activists, and politicians. The documentary also explored the cultural heritage of the locations visited and the political landscape affecting the community.
With a tight timeline, our team in Darwin and Melbourne produced the documentary in 5 months. Pre-production focused on working closely with Justin and Jaxon to engage community members, activists, and politicians. The two-week production spanned eight locations, requiring meticulous planning, especially in remote and rural areas.
